From UnArtIG -- September 03, 2006. Gorilla Biscuits brought the house down at CBGB’s one last time before the “spit covered walls and piss soaked bathrooms”, as Civ put it, closed for good. Below is a 25 minute edit of the show. Please excuse the not so stellar quality. The packed room was a madhouse with kids constantly flying all over the place. There basically wasn’t a single moment during the 70 minute show without someone crashing into me.

THOUGHTS ABOUT 10 FOR $10

Last night was a blast. It was awesome to see so many kids come out. I wish more kids would support most of the hardcore shows that way. I can't say that I go to every show either and I understand everybody can't either (because of $ issues or scheduling with life, jobs, or kids). I would just like to see more kids coming out, spreading the word more about shows and bands.

I'm not originally from Denver, but I have a lot of Denver Hardcore pride. What I've seen (..since I lived here..) is awesome kids that aren't as sketchy, most of the kids are open minded, the bands are awesome, shows ALL OF THE FUCKING TIME! I'm use to a show or two a month ..(MAYBE!). Definitely not 2 shows a week (like it is here). Maybe that's just it, I sometimes think we are spoiled to be here, and I think we take certain people and things for granted. I would like to thank Mark of Crooked Ways for always setting up shows, and helping a lot of the local bands get on tour. I would like to thank Sodajerk as well for all the shows they put on and deal with a lot of the hardcore non-sense that most promoter and venues wouldn't.

All I'm saying is be thankful, spread the word and take pride in Denver Hardcore! If you have anything to say about it please post a comment.

I would love to hear what you have to say. Some of you have e-mailed me and I appreciate that, keep them coming. I want to know your opinion whether your from Denver or not... Thanks!

The lineup features the use of black/white printed fabrics, showcasing Peterson’s grunge imagery amongst a palette that includes tees, denim, and more dressy selections such as a tuxedo and satin jazz shoes. STILLBORN SIGNS STRENGTH FOR A REASON

Strength For A Reason has officially signed with Stillborn Records for their third and latest release, titled “Burden Of Hope.” The album, previously scheduled for release in the United States via As One Records, has since been obtained by Stillborn, which will now manage the pressing and distribution of the album.

“Burden Of Hope,” Stillborn record’s 58th release, is should be available in late-August 2009. The layout of the U.S. release will feature a different color combination than the European version (Filled With Hate records), which hit streets on June 1st.

VOD WRITING NEW ALBUM

"We're just writing now, and things are going pretty good," frontman Tim Williams told Noisecreep. "We're staying busy. We're not rushing too much, and we've got like nine or 10 songs/ideas going for the new record."

Williams says the songs they've finished so far "sound very V.O.D., kind of old 'Imprint'-y type songs, but with a new, good energy to them. Raw. Good stuff. There's elements of V.O.D.-style hardcore in a couple of songs, which is exciting to see again."
